It has been a while since I have sat down and listened to Alesso. He really lost me over the last few years when he seemed to steer away from Progressive House and Big Room to walk down the road of Trap and Base.
That being said he has seen the light and is back doing what he does best. Producing progressive house tracks that will get you up and dancing! His new mixtape dropped last week and I have given it many many listens. The opening track Progresso is a banger that reminds me of Alesso of old.
The core progression of this track and the following drop is something that you need to hear. It will also get stuck in your head, you have been warned!! The second track on the Mixtape is Confession. This is a true house track with a catchy hook and a great build, the third track is Time which has much more of a radio hit kind of track.
Overall I am loving seeing Alesso back to his roots.
With the European summer fast approaching, I am hoping we see more of this from the Swedish producer!
