This weekend, the city of Utrecht houses one of the worlds most live streamed music events of the year, ASOT 950.
ASOT, or better known as A State Of Trance, is the weekly Dutch trance radio production hosted by Trance-royalty himself, Armin van Burren, and co-produced by Ruben de Ronde. For us Aussies, we can wake up every Friday morning to the weekly instalment of ASOT coming live from the Amarda studio in The Netherlands on YouTube.
The ASOT brand has since expanded since its opening show back in 2001, evolving from a radio show, into both a record label and now hosting 1-day festivals around Europe and the US, with the biggest locations including Utrecht, and their iconic live show filmed directly from Tomorrowland, Belgium.
So what does this mean for us Aussies?
It means that as of 7am AEDT on Sunday February 16th, we can fill our Sunday with not 1, not 2, but the full 5 stages of trance goodness direct from Utrecht, thanks to ASOT live video and audio stream capabilities at ASOT.TV.
For the average trance listener, mainstage will be your sweet spot, with Armin himself opening the festival with a special “Let The Music Guide You” opening set.
Following on, the full line up of the mainstage run will see Ilan Bluestone, Markus Schultz, Rank 1 (Live), Armin’s mainstage set, Aly & Fila, Andrew Rayel, and most excitably, Giuseppi Ottaviani and the debut of his 3.0 Live set.
With both Mainstage and Who’s Afraid of 138?! both available on video stream, viewers can toggle between the two stages, if they wanted to fasten the beat a little from what the mainstage has to offer.
The final 3 stages - Psy, Progressive and Road to 1000 will all be available for audio streaming, and can be played via ASOT.TV.
