Legendary DJ and producer Calvin Harris returns with his Love Regenerator alias, releasing another two records: ‘The Power of Love II’ and ‘Regenerate Love’.
This new 2-track collection follows the same style from the previous EP, with an old school rave vibe and fast rhythm, wrapped around catchy vocal loops for a hypnotic feeling. Much like the two previously released tunes, the latest offering sees Calvin continue to dive deep into the realm of acid house, techno, and breakbeats that dominated the early underground days.
‘The Power of Love II’ features a soft and quiet piano breakdown, where the cinematic melodic lines enclose the female vocal loop until the fast-rolling rhythm drops.
Still bringing 90s rave vibes, ‘Regenerate Love’ goes a little bit softer but still intense. The acid melody on the breakdown perfectly mixed with a non-stop melody brings you back in time.
Love Regenerator is Calvin Harris’ new project with which he wanted to rediscover the sound he was used to producing more than 20 years ago. Bringing together acid house, techno beats, and fast-rave melodies, Calvin continues to prove his incredible skills into the music production field.
