CERCLE EVENTS ARE THE LIVE SETS YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR IN QUARANTINE

Like many of you, the search has been on for new ways of looking for music, live streams, and sets. We decided to dig up some unique live sets by French live streaming company, Cercle. Cercle produces unique experiences, by organising, filming and broadcasting concerts in carefully selected locations around the world. Cercle’s prime goal is to showcase cultural heritage and landmarks throughout the prism of electronic music and video. Each show is different, live events usually broadcast on Mondays, and was scheduled to host Bob Sinclar at the Arc de Triomphe earlier this month, but has had to unfortunately postpone to a later date due to some press articles making it seem like it was going to be an in-person concert. On the contrary, this event was supposed to have an online audience for safety reasons.

Cercle has hours of content and a wide range of videos on their YouTube channel from events featuring amazing scenery and live sets from greats such as Deborah de Luca, Fatboy Slim, Solomun, Carl Cox and more. Below we have compiled our top ten Cercle events in no particular order.

ZHU at Hakuba Iwatake in Nagano, Japan

Cercle invited ZHU, an American artist of Chinese descent, to perform on the spectacular terrace that overlooks the Iwatake summit and the Japanese Alps. The snowy sun set session took place at the Hakuba Mountain Harbor, and is definitely one of the top Cercle events to date.

Deborah de Luca at Château de Chambord in France

The Château de Chambord in Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France, is one of the most recognisable châteaux in the world because of its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture which blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Renaissance structures, which was the perfect setting for Deborah de Luca’s dark and hard hitting techno.

Solomun at Théâtre Antique d'Orange in France

The stunning and historic venue, Théâtre Antique d'Orange an ancient Roman amphitheatre, which is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site and was a theatrical wonder during the Roman Empire thanks to its particular acoustics. This was truly a one of a kind event with Solomun serving up his melodic sounds, in one of the most beautiful architectural legacies of the ancient Romans.

Fatboy Slim at British Airways i360 in Brighton, United Kingdom

I’m not sure you could get a better backdrop for a bit of a rave.

Carl Cox at Château de Chambord in France

Again we go back to the Château de Chambord where techno icon Carl Cox took the decks for a unique concert experience at the foot of the castle in the Loire Valley. With the backdrop of one of France’s most recognizable chateaus and flanked by the building’s 16th century French Renaissance architecture, Cox played a two-hour set while fans reveled in awe.

Nina Kraviz at Tour Eiffel in Paris

Talk about mood! Nina Kraviz laying down nearly two hours of avant-garde techno on the deck of the Eiffel Tower is a big one. The Eiffel Tower's own account said it best when it tweeted "two iron ladies reunited." It's a brewing, hypnotic collection of tracks that builds to strange peaks and alien grooves. The sun sets in the background as the City of Lights earns its nickname.

ARTBAT at Bondinho Pão de Açúcar in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The Sugarloaf Cable Car (Bondinho do Pão de Açúcar) is a cableway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Moving between Praia Vermelha and the Sugarloaf Mountain, the duo from Ukraine played a breathtaking set on the top of the mountain with magnificent views of the bay of Rio de Janeiro, and the ultimate sunset vibes.

Lee Burridge at Omnia Bali

When Cercle invited Lee Burridge for a unique show at OMNIA Bali, we knew this was going to be amazing! Cercle definitely upped their game with this set from Stephan Bodzin, taking it to the skies with a 3000 meters high party on the Swiss Alps. Piz Gloria is also famous for the location shoot of many scenes for the 1969 James Bond 007 film. With his analog synthesizer, a MOOG controller via his laptop and other equipment, the German DJ delivered an unbelievable performance over the Alps. it seemed as though nature felt the vibes and let the clouds open for attendees to enjoy a magnificent sunset.
