DJs From Mars first-ever release on Musical Freedom 'The Drop'.

Written by Kylie Vesey.

Last Friday (May 29th) marked a very special occasion for our resident aliens, DJs From Mars, with the release of their first track ‘The Drop’, featuring Tiësto & DJs From Mars VS Rudeejay & Da Brozz, on Tiësto’s label Musical Freedom.

When the news broke a few weeks ago of this release I knew it was going to be something special, as for the past decade, DJs From Mars have been known for their remixes and mash-ups, but yet to release their own music. It was a given that making and releasing something that is their own is a success that won’t be forgotten.

The song starts with a sick winding electric beat and immediately it had me hooked. The track progressively builds with simple lyrics fading in and out through the background and continues with that incredible winding electro sound. The lyrics in the track take you on a musical journey of what goes into making an electric track, exploring audio of different sounds, pianos, full string sections, the BASE, and finally, they introduce the main element “The Drop” (pun intended). Though the track I was bouncing in my seat writing this review with a smile upon my face.

People have already taken to comments on this track, saying “dope sound”, “electro banger”, “old school electro banger” and we could not agree more.

On the day of the track release, we received an exclusive comment from DJs From Mars:

“A collaboration with Tiësto is something we would never have expected when we started our dj career. So today we can only say THANKS for all of the love and support we received throughout the years.

We will work harder and harder on new projects, so stay tuned, this is just the beginning of a new era!”

Let us know your thoughts on this incredible banging track. Stay tuned for more DJs From Mars news as it breaks. We will be bringing you all things from the boys as they happen.
