Having taken on an intense year of touring both America and Europe, Pete Tong’s “future star of 2019” and Billboard’s “artist to watch”, Dom Dolla is set to return home to Melbourne to bring us Day Party In The Drome this February.
We are delighted to witness the iconic Coburg Velodrome transformed into what can only be described as 2020's HOTTEST day dance party, hosted by Untitled Group.
Untitled Group will be bringing their signature set design, meticulous production and world class sound systems for what’s sure to be an event like no other.
On support duties will be one of Untitled Group’s favourite Australian artists, Jordan Brando. Jordan has captivated crowds playing at both Beyond the Valley and Pitch Music and Arts as well as supporting international heavyweights like Patrick Topping and Jamie Jones.
2 x ARIA award nominee & Melbourne producer, Dom Dolla, has seen a meteoric rise following the release of his global house hit ‘Take It’. Dom followed up his 2018 epic release, with his latest offering ‘San Frandisco’ receiving high rotation on Triple J and millions of streams. His closing set at Beyond the Valley has become a rite of passage, having played at all five Beyond the Valleys and about to embark on his sixth. From touring the world, Dom has connected with millions of fans worldwide.
But, who is Dom Dolla?
Dom first burst on to Aria charts in 2015, with the mammoth success of his first single "Define", which held its places on the club charts for a strong 9 consecutive weeks.
Following the success of Define, Dom continued to release party-favourite hits, including "You", "Be Randy" and last year releasing "Take It", which saw him catapult into the international music scene, taking #1 on Beatport charts with over 35 million streams across Spotify and Apple Music.
Dom has been a notable inclusion in Australia's festival circuit for a number of years, having played headlining shows at both Splendour in the Grass and For The Love, and has secured his spot on Australia's most iconic multi-day New Year's festival Beyond The Valley.
2019 only amounted to greater success; from a 35 date headline tour of North America, playing Coachella's Do LaB, EDC Las Vegas, Splash House, Ezoo and Hard Summer, as well as his debut tour across UK/EU including performances in London, HideOut Croatia, Tomorrowland, Greece, and Ibiza.
Dom has capped off an extraordinary year with his latest music release "San Frandisco", ahead of a closing out 2019 with a busy Australian tour schedule, including Spilt Milk, Wildlands, Lost Paradise, Beyond The Valley and Field Day.
Our team at Behind The Decks were lucky enough to catch Dom performing his debut show at Tomorrowland this year, part of their 15 year anniversary.
When you cast your eyes across the crowd at a side stage during an international music festival, and you see it filled with flags from across the world, you can't help but be proud; hard working people deserve to amount to this level of success, and we're stoked we have been a part of Dom's rising success in 2019.
And if the above wasn't enough to win you over, be there to witness it first-hand when Dom returns to Melbourne for this one time only day party.
