Always first to the finish line; Don Diablo x Dutch Formula 1 live stream

Future House DJ, Don Diablo, has been creatively composing fresh concepts to bring his latest iso live streams to the comfort of our homes, and his latest idea is one that has not been seen yet! It was known that the Dutch DJ was booked to be the musical headliner for the long-awaited return of the Formula One (F1) in Holland, however, with the COVID 19 lockdown laws in place in Holland until June 1st, Diablo will be unable to perform for the Dutch Grand Prix, which was set to be hosted over the weekend of 1st - 3rd May.

For the F1-obsessed Dutch, this came as such terrible news. The last Dutch Grand Prix race held at Circuit Zandvoort was in 1985, and in the 35-year absence of the GP at Zandvoort, the circuit has gone through many changes, including parts of the land sold off and redevelopment. The inclusion of the newly rebuilt Circuit Zandvoort in the F1 2020 calendar caused for celebration, enlisting the international DJ with a headlining show for the F1-obsessed Dutch to enjoy. 

So, when life gives you lemons, Diablo chose to make lemonade with the GP postponement, and recorded a “bucket list worthy” exclusive solo show last weekend from Circuit Zandvoort, where fans could preview the new race track over the duration of the live stream, all from the comfort of their self-iso homes!

Don has also taken to his socials, saying that all songs used in his 1 hour F1 set were all songs released, or set to be released, across his HEXAGON labels (HEXAGON and FUTURE), making this set truly uniquely all things Don Diablo and Hexagonian!

This is the third instalment of Diablo’s ‘Art of DJing’ live stream concept, where previously we have seen him bring sets from his kitchen and swimming pool!

If one thing is for sure, Don Diablo is keeping well ahead of the trend with his live stream ideas, but what is next?

Don’s futuristic vision across his production levels only leads me to believe that he will soon incorporate more use of CGI to teleport him anywhere around the world while being stuck in isolation. Maybe the next video will be on the moon, we will just have to wait and see!
