Gold Coast sensation J-Dub releases hit new track ‘Dream Together’ with Deakin XD ft. Chris Jones

Written By Kylie Vesey

If you live on the Gold Coast, the name J-Dub is one that has been around the club scene smashing the decks for some time. Not only does J-Dub (Jake) throw down some of the best sets I have seen, he also launched his own studio, Studio One Seven, where he teaches others to produce and follow their DJ dreams.

J-Dub has teamed up with his good friend and fellow producer, Deakin XD, on their latest release 'Dream Together' - a track that is set to leave you wondering why you haven’t been following them for years. For the vocals, the boys enlisted Chris Jones, who is best known for his vocals on Hardwell’s track ‘Young Again’.

The first time I heard this track, I instantly knew this was something really special; it grabbed hold of me and brought so many emotions. This track is something that has been in the making for 3 years and now that it is here, I cannot wait for you to share in all of the emotions like I just did.

Typically with my reviews, I like to share all the details of the basslines, the vocals and my view on the direction, however, for this one I am not going to do any of that. I’m going to let you read how J-Dub describes the track and feel the joys I did hearing it for the first time.

"Three years ago we wanted to tell a romance story in the form of a club record, which would also inspire people to not only never give up on their dreams, but to Dream Together. Deakin XD, Chris Jones (Released w/ Hardwell) and myself are proud to finally put this record out, as we believe we have encapsulated this positive message, within Dream Together. This Progressive House record delivers an emotional, yet positive message, with a catchy melody, bridged through Chris Jones’ powerful vocal."

With this release and a few more in the works, I have a hunch that J-Dub will be a name that we will be seeing more frequently. Not only can he conduct a dancefloor by throwing down sets that would get your mother dancing, but he is also genuinely an all-round humble, nice guy.

In true BTD form, we have reached out to J-Dub for an interview, so if you have any questions you want us to ask him, leave them in the comments!

'Dream Together' is out now for your listening pleasures.
