There is a Darkness Entering with AVAO

Stijn Rutte & Levi Kotten, better known as the Dutch-duo AVAO, are back with the release of their latest track “Enter The Darkness”. Not only have AVAO released one track, but their “Enter The Darkness EP” sees 3 tracks feature, including a remix by Maarten de Jong, and oh my gosh does this have me excited!

With the release of their last track “Winter” only last month, I was beyond thrilled when the boys took to their socials letting us know there was another new release on its way. “Winter” is such a heartfelt anthem, accompanied by chilling vocals from Jano, I was curious to see what AVAO would produce next. “Enter The Darkness” takes such a different direction to “Winter” and I LIKE IT! 

AVAO have been a Trance duo on the rise since Aussie Trance god MaRLo debuted the Dutch-duo on his label Reaching Altitude, with big names like Armin van Buuren remixing their tracks and gaining airtime on his A State of Trance radio show. 

Now, for those of you that are new to AVAO’s journey, you will learn that they are well known for their heavy Trance tracks that get you singing along and fist-pumping; the feel of “Enter The Darkness” is no different. 

The track opens with a futuristic baseline and by 30 seconds in you see it explode. Sitting at 138PM, it erupts with all those high energy, fast pace Trance drops we have come to expect from AVAO. Throughout it boasts a Hard Trance melody that takes you on an incredible journey. The track has undertones of sharp keyboard work and electronic riffs, boasting such simplistic lyrics, keeping the focus mainly on the sound. This is a great decision the duo have made and the instrumental work is just insane. 

For all our Trance lovers out there, this is one track that I know will be getting quarantine parties started! With so many epic releases coming from the duo, we may not have to wait long for another release. Make sure you show some love and let the boys know your thoughts on this track.
