Coming off one of their biggest events (Hardstyle Carnival) in the ever-growing Brisbane hardstyle scene, Shokk Events presented their next big instalment,
Gammer!
Coming fresh off his American tour, with a quick stop in Ibiza also, Gammer was ready to make his return to Australia, which feels as though this will be an annual occurrence. Luckily for us here in Brisbane, he kicked off his tour in style, supported by some of the best local acts, in Brisbane’s iconic club venue, Family.
The night kicked off with James Edwards followed by an awesome set from Akajic & amp; Anarchy. The crowd started to pour in and the vibe really started tov increase. Crixus & amp; Genovis were followed by Donny Palmer & amp; Avox and by this point the venue was really starting to pump. Hektic played an incredible set, which I enjoyed thoroughly as did everyone around me. This set was followed by an up-and-coming artist, Druid, who was the perfect warm up for the main event!
The scene was set for Gammer to destroy Family and he did not disappoint. The energy during his set was incredible, playing a host of mashups and the best of his own music. For me, a couple of moments stood out;
● When he played his version of D-block and S-tefan’ and Sub Zero Projects “Darkest hour”
● When he dropped Darren Style’s “Switch”
● And last, but not least, the incredible moment at the end of the set when the whole club was belting out Ran D’s version of the iconic “Zombie”. The love that this city has for that song is amazing and it was a surreal experience to be a part of!
Gammer once again showed us why he is so popular here in Aus!
Closing out the night was Blaithe followed by the extremely talented Warchiefz. Overall, the night was one of the biggest successes to date for Shokk! The vibe the whole night was electrifying, and the production was second-to-none.
Big congratulations to both Andy’s and the whole team behind making this event happen. Up next is GPF and following that, Believe in Hardstyle, headlined by Da Tweekaz!
Big things are happening in the Brisbane hardstyle scene!!
