For months, years, even centuries, the hardstyle community of Brisbane have been requesting one name to grace this beautiful city with their music. Thanks to
,
were finally able to destroy this city.
When GPF got announced, the hardstyle scene of Brisbane went into pandemonium. The name that was thrown around the most in the past year (besides Angerfist) was finally coming. The excitement was through the roof from the start; weeks felt like years , and eventually September 27th finally came around.
Before I kick this review off, for the general readers, there is no way of truly describing GPF to you. I have tried to write it into words, and I just failed so epically every time. It’s so hard to describe GPF to someone who has no idea about him. The level of bpm he plays is unheard of, the crowd do WEIRD shit, but the energy is HUGE! Keep an open mind through this, and just laugh with me at the fact that there is a place for this kind of talent in our music community in 2019!
The night kicked off with an array of local talent who, as always, put on a great show. The hardstyle scene in Brisbane is growing rapidly and with that these wonderful artists continue to perform.
Back to the shenanigans though!
GPF was kind enough to do a meet and greet during the event, which was incredible for all involved. Many assorted vegetables were seen (yes, legitimate vegetables), faces were licked and things got very greazy very quickly. He’s known for wanting to do his own thing and trying to care as little as possible, and this showed in the best way possible. Everyone was in awe out how great this guy is and how little he cared for the well being of said vegetables, people’s faces and blow up penis’.
The GPF set was one of the best of the year; 45 minutes of pure carnage that I honestly don’t know how to put into words. He played all of his crazy tracks at his pace of 34 678bpm and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
In true Aussie style, the night was capped off with him doing a shoey and I think this was an appropriate way to welcome him to our wonderful land.
GPF ; thank you for one the craziest nights of my life!!! And a big shout out to the Andy’s, as always, for creating such an incredible event happen and bringing these most requested artists to Brisbane.
