What could be more exciting than the GOAT of Trance, Armin van Buuren, and Progressive House king, Nicky Romero, teaming up? Well, maybe isolation 2.0 ending for us Victorian’s, but that’s a story for another day, as today I’m here to give you the low down on the latest release from these two master DJs featuring IFIMAY, ‘I Need You To Know’.
When I first saw Nicky Romero drop the teaser to this track earlier in the week, I could not wait to see who Nicky had worked with, as it was all a little cryptic. Then a few days later to my delight, it was released that it was none other than Armin himself, instantly I knew we were in for something magnificent. I mean what is better than two of my favourite artists releasing their first-ever collaboration together?
Let me take you through my thoughts on this masterpiece.
When the track starts there are soft and powerful vocals accompanied by background synths and hints of a piano playing. It’s not long before this turns into an anthem of a track and those hints of the piano keys disappear. Throughout the track, there is a winding progression that has all the hints of a classic Nicky Romero track and as it gets deeper in it switches between the uplifting vocals, the powerful synth work and the exploding chorus so it was no surprise that I was hooked.
This track is set to be a joint release Armada Music and Protocol Recordings and I would be very interested to see if we now get more collaborations from these two.
‘I Need You To Know’ is out now across all platforms, so put it on, crank the volume and disappear into this killer track.
