CHAOS CREATED, AS VEGAS DAY AND NIGHTCLUB KAOS CLOSES IMMEDIATELY!!!

We have begun our day today, with hearing the news that Palms Casino and Resort, newly opened day and night club Kaos has closed its door immediately.

Designed by notable Rockwell Group, a part of Palms' $690 million renovation, Kaos had only just opened their doors in April, with a killer opening weekend; Travis Scott and Skrillex opening the nightclub on the Friday night, Saturday saw DJ Marshmello opening the poolside dayclub, and Saturday night rounding out the opening weekend with G-Eazy and Cardi B.

With the largest LED wall in Vegas, and the most pools as seen within any American resort, the venue itself incurred huge costs; the 73,000 square foot dayclub and 29,000 square foot nightclub wouldn't just pay for themselves, and boy were we right in thinking that.

September saw Kaos come in to headlines, with the announcement that big name DJ Marshmello took a voluntary early-exit from his $60 million 2 year residency. Following shortly by Skrillex, leaving the venue at an even bigger loss.

Today, Michael Britt, senior vice president of government relations and corporate communications for parent company Red Rock Resorts Inc. released the below statement:

Red Rock reported a net loss of $26.8 million in the third quarter, down $51.9 million from the same period last year.

"The decrease in net income was primarily due to one-time charges relating to the termination of certain artist performance agreements and employment arrangements at the Palms, as well as higher depreciation and amortization relating to the Palms redevelopment project," the company said in a press release.

Kaos was only open for a short, 7 month stint before seeing this immediate closure. The closing also comes more than a month after Jon Gray, the vice president and general manager of the Palms, departed the company.
