With most gyms reopening all over Australia from this week, I thought what better time to give you my list of top 10 radio shows that will be sure to get you off the couch, out of the house and back into smashing those summer goals!
Now, for those who know me, my time at the gym is exactly that, it’s MY time! I use it as my place to disappear, unwind and smash out some goals. I love nothing more than a set of bangers to get me through and often you will find me getting strange looks as I dance around to my favourite beats. So listen up here is a list that is sure to get you moving again!
Number 10 is The House Party with Jesabel and Friends
Recently I interviewed the amazingly talented Jesabel and this show is something new she has started since lockdown. It is packed with 30 minutes of her own mix and the back half she co-hosts with a special guest DJ. It is full of deep sounds that will make getting back into a “beast mode” headspace possible. Put this on when you need something that has a little bit of everything.

My 9th pick is Seeing Red by Highup
Highup is a Gold Coast DJ and producer who has been smashing it with the releases this year. Only on its 5th episode, Seeing Red will give you just what you need to start that post isolation session. It's stacked full of Highup’s Heavy Bass tracks, as well as some more dance party tunes that will help you with the cool down session at the end.

The 8th show is Lucas & Steve presents: Skyline Sessions

Hot on the heals in 7th is Club Life by Tiësto
What can I say about this show, each week is different, but there is no shortage of BANGERS when it comes to these mixes. Usually, you get the treat of the After Dark Sessions at the end, which sees Tiësto move away from the commercial sound he typically plays, to a more underground sound. This mix is great for warm-up cardio then into a huge back and biceps session.

Hitting 6th is Sick Individuals This Is Sick
The Sick Individuals boys create a well-rounded show that will undoubtedly get you moving. This Is Sick is jam-packed with all the best Electro House, Progressive House, Future house tracks. This show is perfect for a heavy weights day, as it will always leave you throwing down. I love to put this on when I am smashing out some squats.

In 5th position is Hardwell's Revealed Radio
Alright, if you have been living under a rock then you wouldn’t know this show is from the King of EDM, Hardwell’s own imprint, Revealed. Each week this show brings a featured artist from the label, so you never quite know what you are in for. If you love Hardwell as much as I do then this show is one that will have you fist-pumping along. I put this on when I am looking for super high BPM and energy vibes. Perfect for really any occasion depending on your mood.

Coming in 4th we have Nicky Romero’s Protocol Radio
For anyone that knows me or reads my reviews, you know how much of a Nicky Romero fan girl I am, so it seems fitting that this show hits my top 5. This show brings all of those Progressive House tracks, as well as features a selected international artist playing behind the decks most weeks on the back half of the show. Recently, we have seen the likes of Dash Berlin, Sick Individuals, Justin Mylo and more. This is my go-to set when I am smashing out a big cardio session on the stairs or a tricep workout.

My 3rd pick is Alien Selection by DJs From Mars
If you are looking for an uptempo, fast paced set with epic remixes then this show is for you. DJs From Mars pack in all the best of all-time tracks to these mixes, including their famous mega mashups. This show is a perfect all-rounder, it will have you smashing out fast cardio, heavy leg sessions or complement a round of boxing.

Gracing your ears at 2nd is Louder Together with Marcus Santoro
This set is the perfect vibe for a sunset, house chilled out set. I find this perfect when I am going out for a run and I just want to turn the whole world off. It takes me to a place where I forget everything and just feel the music. This would be perfect to start off the session at the gym and just disappear into the rest without realising you have even been working out. This is a new venture from Marcus this year and each week gets better and better.

And Finally in 1st, we have Electro Sessions by DJ Veezee
Firstly a disclaimer: I personally know DJ Veezee very well, however, this is not the reason that I choose him as my number one. Since his inception last year, each week I have listened, provided feedback and watched him grow stronger and stronger. When I am looking for something to get me going, this is always what I reach for. His saying is “turn the music up, and turn the world off” and every week I do just that. Veezee’s weekly mix is high energy, big room BANGERS that will have you push yourself to the next level. It’s perfect for any occasion except maybe yoga haha.
