MARSHMELLO PLAYS LIVE TO 10 MILLION PEOPLE INSIDE FORTNITE.

Almost everyone on the planet knows of the video game Fortnite. If you have not heard of it before It's a battle royale game where 100 players go into the game and the last man standing wins. It has a player base of over 200 million players worldwide.

Epic games who created the game is well known for the live events in the game, most revolve around the game itself. However, I don't think many of us saw this coming! A LIVE CONCERT inside the game with Marshmallow as the headliner. When I first heard of this event last week I thought great Christopher Comstock (Marshmallow) pre-records a short set and plays it out in the game.

How wrong I was,

When Chris was questioned by popular streamer CourageJD.

‘CourageJD’ asks Chris “Your voice and everything, that was all pre-recorded right?”

Marshmello responds: “That was all live, man! That was the whole thing, so you know, in the very early workings of it all we weren’t sure what could be handled as far as bandwidth and stuff like live voice, and live everything.”

“But they (Epic) took their time and figured it all out and when it was time to go they had it all sorted. Stuff like that is what makes it next level.”

Now considering the amount of money being made by streamers and players in Fortnight. It shocked me that no one came along and killed everyone watching to catapult themselves to the top of the leaderboards, Which has been done before. Being a gamer myself I was one of the many that watched this 10 min set live, Hoping someone would wipe everyone out. Sadly everyone just enjoyed the show.

At the time I could never have imagined how many people would be watching from inside the game itself. Well, that number is in and it is a staggering 10 MILLION!! Which is borderline unbelievable, so many DJs/Artist want to break down the wall that separates our sense and mainstream pop culture, I think it is safe to say that Chris has done that!!

Chris who only became Marshmallow back in 2015 after he killed off his last DJ name Dotcom. Since then he has gone from strength to Strength and after this, It is going to be very interesting to see how this changes his career.
