Melbourne, Australia, and the world have been turned upside down with the global COVID-19 pandemic. Acknowledging the economic and social impact this crisis is having on our community, Melbourne Music Week will return November 18-22 with a dynamic and innovative program that directly responds to the challenges our industry faces.
Last year MMW celebrated its 10 year anniversary spanning over 10 days, with 300 acts, and 70 events. This year Melbourne Music Week has been condensed into a powerful and intensified five-day event, with organisers promising five days of unforgettable music, events, seminars and more!.
Designed for maximum impact and amplification, the annual conference will focus on increasing support for local venues, artists, and promoters, and for the first time, will consist of an 100% Australian and New Zealand line up.
In previous years the conference has included block parties, live music on the famous Melbourne trams, electronic music production tutorials, a techno rave in St. Paul’s Cathedral headlined by DJ Hell, industry talks and keynote speakers.
The 2020 edition will include:
One-of-a-kind performances
Cross art forms
Artistic collaborations
Talks and workshops, through to multimedia performances and installations
Commissioned art works
And much more!
There are numerous ways to be a part of the official program. MMW is welcoming inspired music industry practitioners, individuals, groups, businesses and venues to apply via expression of interest, and be a part of MMW 2020. Applications are open to all types of unique and thought provoking events.
Expressions of interest close June 28th 2020.
General Admission Tickets to events go on sale 10am 15th October
