It makes perfect sense that two of House music’s current heavy hitters would come together, collaborate and produce a killer track. This is what Australia’s very own Sonny Fodera and Dom Dolla have done with their latest track ‘Moving Blind’. It’s a collaboration made in house heaven, coming to fruition after their sold-out US tour in early, pre-COVID, 2020. We couldn’t be happier that they decided to take a break during their busy touring schedule to lay this track down for us!
Mixmag calls Sonny Fodera ‘one of the biggest draws in house’, and after a decade since his first release, he has cemented himself in the scene with his brand of groove driven, emotive house music. This was evident when he released his fourth studio LP, ‘Rise’ in 2019, a triumph of emotive groove and house. Melbourne boy, Dom Dolla, has gone from strength to strength after a breakthrough year in 2019, releasing house bangers heard the world. Dom Dolla has no signs of slowing down and we can’t wait for his rescheduled Australian tour in October.
‘Moving Blind’ kicks off with a bumping bassline, setting the tone early on this track with an infectious groove. A deep and husky vocal hook drives the track forward supported by hi-hats and synths. Sonny and Dom’s skills for house grooves and recognisable dance floor fillers are completely evident on this track. It's sure to get those lounge room dance floors and ‘Car-eoke’ club sessions pumping before we can experience the real deal in the hopefully not so distant future.
