Deadmau5 & Steve Duda resurrect BSOD Project with: No Way, Get Real EP

Back in 2006, Deadmau5 and fellow mau5trap producer, Steve Duda, joined forces to bring us 'This Is the Hook', their debut single as BSOD (Blue Screen of Death/Better Sounding on Drugs). The pair joined forces to initially mock mainstream dance music, but ended up charting at the no. 1 spot on the Beatport Top 100 in 2006. After their debut single, the duo continued to work on collabs that were sporadically released over the years, which inevitably led to two EPs, Played Out and Last Life.

Seven years since the last official BSOD release, Deadmau5 and Steve Duda are back with a full 4-track EP entitled, No Way, Get Real.

The 4 track EP stays true to the producer's signature sounds, simple but very creative. This EP resurrects some of the old Deadmau5 sounds that we all fell in love with from some of Joel’s early work like 'Ghosts n Stuff' and 'Sofi Needs a Ladder'. The signature dirty bass synths with eccentric melodies, combined with the famous kick-snare pattern, remain consistent throughout the EP.

No Way, Get Real is for the avid mau5trap and analog electronic music enthusiasts. The duo were expected to join forces on the decks at the inaugural mau5trap Miami Music Week party on March 18, under their joint moniker. I cannot wait to see if this sparks another B2B set in the future!
