This year Protocol Recordings has brought us a number of fresh new tracks and compilations, and now, their seriously club-friendly release, Protocol Grooves Part 1 EP, is yet another masterpiece from the label.
The project is a new venture from Protocol and has been stamped as a festival season gift to listeners. The EP consists of five never before heard tracks from CAMARDA & Almero, Stefano Iezzi & Joe C, GIORG & Santez, Soulvation, Mosimann & VY•DA and focuses on a decidedly underground, club sound, which really showcases the label's diversity.
For all that know and love Protocol like I do, you are in for a treat with these five tracks. They are jam-packed full of new direction in sound, seeing the EP move away slightly from the traditional Protocol Progressive House sound. Each track has its own special feel whilst complementing the next, they all go together on this EP perfectly.
Usually, with my reviews I provide you with in-depth thoughts on the progression and tracks, however, I’ve decided I will not spoil anything with this one, as I want you to hear this new sound as I did listening for the first time.
Let me know your thoughts as this is one direction I am excited to see what else comes. Keep an eye out for Part 2 of Protocol Groves EP and I am sure this first EP will have you wanting more!
