Today has marked a huge milestone for Protocol Recordings; reaching their 200th track release since the label was created in 2012, so we are going to celebrate!
Protocol Recordings was launched in May 2012 by Nicky Romero and is now home to some of the best progressive house tracks there is in the market. Protocol Recordings took some time to build up their track releases reaching the first 100 track milestone in 2018, six years after the label was created. Now when we talk about milestones, this latest one of 200 was reached with great speed, only taking two years, smashing the record that was set when 100 was reached.
What better way to kick off this celebration than a remix of Teamworx's 'Techno' by the boss man himself, Nicky Romero.
Teamworx are no strangers to Protocol Recordings having released 12 tracks with the label. Having worked with Nicky Romero on releases such as 'Champion Sound' and 'Deep Dark Jungle' it seemed rather fitting that Nicky Romero would remix their track as part of this special 200th release.
Some may be already familiar with this track having already been played by Nicky Romero at the Avicii Tribute Concert and more recently the Tomorrowland United Through Music Livestream.
The track itself has all the undertones of that sweet Romero sound but sees him go in a new direction, one that we saw introduced with the Redefine EP earlier this year. Nicky has focused on bringing back his club sound with this track, just as he did with 'Redefine'. He is showing us that this new sound is really delivering the tech-trance vibes and I am a fan. If you are looking for an upbeat remake of the classic track 'Techno' then look no further than this track.
Nicky Romero’s remix of 'Techno' is out now across all platforms and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
This is Kylie signing out for another addition of all things Nicky Romero!
