No Ultra, no worries! Nicky Romero's Protocol Recordings has your Miami vibe covered!

Written by Kylie Vesey

Back again is Kylie with another addition of all things Nicky Romero, and this time I’m highlighting his record label and the amazing releases of five up and coming artists on the Protocol Vibes: Miami 2020 EP.

This year has been a trying one, to say the least; we have seen many big festivals, gatherings and events cancelled in the interest of public safety. When the news broke of Ultra Music Festival (UMF) being postponed, it left many fans all over the world heartbroken. Ultra is not just a festival, it is a place where, each year, new music and epic shows are put on by many artists. Following the announcement of Ultra being postponed, the news broke that the Winter Music Conference was cancelled, leaving many artists across the globe unable to come together in what is an annual highlight for artists and record labels.

Despite the news of both events no longer going ahead, Nicky Romero’s label Protocol Recordings still wanted their fans to feel the city's atmosphere, so the label has released an incredible collection of tracks from five of their up and coming artists for our listening pleasure.

With Ultra supposed to take place this weekend, we have just what you need to feel like you are in Miami; "Protocol Vibes - Miami 2020" by Protocol Recordings. The tracks show five talented artists put together one hell of an EP, see tracklist below:

Timmo Hendriks & Trilane ft. Carys Selvey "Deserve My Time"

Futuristic Polar Bears "Take Control"

Charmes vs. Raven & Kreyn "Step Back"

Each track has been released with similar artwork of inspiring pastel colours to represent the streets of Miami, producing a fresh and inviting feel. Listening to the tracks, they represent the Protocol Recordings sound and we have been told from a source that these tracks sonically hint what you would have heard during Nicky Romero’s UMF main stage performance this weekend should it have gone ahead.

This EP has something special and different to offer from the next, with some tracks having hints of progressive house, other hints of more of a bass track feel. All the tracks show that signature Protocol Recordings sweet, sweet sound and really create a feel-good playlist.

No matter your plans this weekend or music taste, the new “Protocol Vibes: Miami 2020 EP” has something for everyone!  Make sure you head over to Spotify to have a listen to another master release by Protocol Recordings, you will be pleasantly surprised, I know I was. This is one EP that I have already had on repeat!
