R3HAB is back with his new intimate release “Creep” for Spotify's First-Ever "mint Singles"

This year is all about great releases from some of the biggest artists in the EDM world and this might be one release that will have not only EDM lovers listening but classic rock fans as well. This release sees R3HAB and GATTÜSO team up to create a remake of the classic 1992 Radiohead song “Creep”.

This track sees the DJ’s first-ever track made for Spotify's inaugural "mint Singles" program.  Spotify’s “mint Singles” features 65 singles from some amazing artists and is a spinoff of the original “Spotify Singles” series.

When I heard R3HAB was releasing this track I was stoked as there isn’t a track that R3HAB makes that I have not fallen in love with and this track is no different. Any track that he creates is always felt with such intimacy and the fact he writes a lot of his own lyrics makes anything he releases that much more special. With his track being a remake, I was a little unsure how it would bring those personal elements, however, as soon as it started it was just as heartfelt as any other R3HAB track. The best part of this track is we get a glimpse of New York City-based DJ, producer and remixer GATTÜSO (AKA Reem Taoz).  GATTÜSO is fast making a name for himself on the global dance music scene with his music being endorsed by top artists such as Tiësto, R3HAB, Galantis, Sam Feldt, Steve Aoki, and many more.

When the track opens you are met with soft angel-like vocals and the lyrics from the original song "Creep”. Instantly I was transported back to my early teenage years having listened to the original song over and over again. As the track progresses I had goosebumps, the light strokes of a piano begin to play and intertwined with the lyrics, it pulls on those heartstrings. As the track builds the piano turns into a continuous bouncy electric drop that just works perfectly with the melodies. Not only does this track mirror and bring those emotional lyrics from the Radiohead original "Creep" it adds a new layer of depth bringing those big room vibes that get you dancing. 

The subtle and easy to follow tone and pace of this track is sure to make it a new goto track for any occasion. Whether you are listening with friends, at home or in the car, it is sure to get you singing along. I cannot wait for the time when we can travel again and I can see this performed live. The thought of hearing this track performed live is one I will be hoping for as hearing it live will bring all those intense intimate feels over and over again. R3HAB and GATTÜSO  have definitely done justice to the original.
