In what can only be described as the biggest event to date in Brisbane Hardstyle history, Shokk and HSU events have teamed up to bring us an incredible Shadows of Wonderland line-up, including 6 international artists at the Fortitude Music Hall!
Let’s have a look at it in depth.
In typical fashion, they announced the line-up over 3 days, with 2 artists a day, kicking off with Warface, one of the hottest names in the industry right now.
The man who strives for domination, has been captivating audiences worldwide with his raw sound! The last time he was in Australia, he played an incredible set at Midnight Mafia, which was one of the highlight sets of the event in my opinion! Having just himself here would be a massive draw card, but to have an additional 5 artists is huge! We will be looking forward to hearing his big tracks such as "Strive for Domination", "Robot Gangbang" and his latest track "Breaking the Rules".
Up next to be announced was Rebelion, who make their long awaited return to Brisbane!
Having performed in Brisbane previously at the last Shadows of Wonderland, they have been welcomed back with open arms and no doubt with their hard hitting sounds they will put on a great set once again! With tracks such as "Realness" and "The Edge", we are surely in for a good time!
The following day the announcements continued with another huge name, Psyko Punkz being announced!
The first ever Shokk event actually featured this man, so it’s only fitting that he comes back for what will be the biggest night to date for Brisbane Hardstyle! With so many classics including "Spaceship", "The Apex" and "Unbreakable", his set will be full of energy!
Shokk weren’t done there though, announcing shortly after that home grown Aussie talent, Code Black would be joining the line-up!
He has played consistently in Brisbane over the past few years, so it is great to see his addition to an already stacked line-up! The Aussie has produced so many great tracks over the years, including “Broken”, “Accelerate” and our personal favourite “Pandora”! Anyone who has seen him live can appreciate the moment you hear “You’re now entering… Pandora”.
The final day of announcements started with a bang, when the voice of hardstyle around the world, MC Villain was announced as the host!
To someone outside the scene, an MC might not seem like a big deal. But when you have the guy who literally voices hardstyle at ALMOST every festival around the world, this is huge news! We can’t wait to welcome Villain to Brisbane for his Shokk Debut!
But Shokk weren’t done there, announcing next a pioneer and legend of the scene, Mr I AM HARDSTYLE, BRENNAN HEART!
He’s arguably the biggest name in Hardstyle and has played at all the major festivals around the world, to have him finish off this already INSANE line-up is amazing!
The Hardstyle scene would be nowhere near what it is today without this man. It’s been 10 years since he played in Brisbane and I think there is no doubt he will be amazed at how much the scene has changed. With so many tracks to choose from, we can only hope for some classics such as “Imaginary”, “Be Here Now” and “It's My Style”. But we cannot wait to hear some of his new bangers from his latest album, including “Fight For Something”, “Won’t Hold Me Down (Gravity)” and “Coming Back To You”!
Overall, this is going to be an incredible night. This line-up wouldn’t look out of place at Sydney event or even an event in Europe. So to have this sort of calibre coming to Brisbane is a true indication of how BIG hardstyle is becoming in Southeast Queensland! It must be said that without the constant dedication and passion that the Andy’s and their team at Shokk put in, that we wouldn’t be having events like this!
