If you haven’t heard much of the Sick Individuals, or are intrigued and want to know more, then listen up and get their latest track ‘RUBY’ on your speakers NOW!
It would be fair to say that anything the Dutch duo release I instantly fall in love with, and ‘RUBY’ is no exception. This Dutch duo are one of the most underrated DJs and having followed them for some time, I can say that their production skills and tracks they create are beyond incredible.
‘RUBY’ sees the boys release on Hardwell’s iconic imprint, Revealed Recordings, and when you listen to this track it is clear why. The follow up track to 'LUNA' (which too was a follow up to Sick Individuals' 2018 hit 'KODI'), 'RUBY' is the perfect blend of Big Room and Progressive House, the signature sound that has defined Sick Individuals after all these years, and is the same common sound across the three tracks.
The track begins with a soft chiming melody and a barely-there female vocal whispers to tease in the high-energy cut, which when it started took me to a calming place. You don’t have to wait long before this track explodes into a Big Room edgy anthem. It has killer buildups and that much loved Revealed sound. Throughout the track, I could hear hints of Hardwell’s sound, and as it progressed, came the harder drops. The simple hints of vocals throughout mean that the track is focused on the music and those amazing synth lines that make this track come alive.
‘RUBY’ is the track you need if you are looking to start out the weekend and wash away all of those weekday blues. It’s packed with high energy, big drops and paired with the energetic video it makes it a go to for any party occasion.
Be sure to show the boys some support and let them know your thoughts. ‘RUBY’ is out now across all platforms, and trust me this is one track you need to have on repeat!
