Sydney's controversial lockout laws are now gone!

Sydney's controversial lockout laws were quietly lifted on Tuesday this week for most of the city. This will be the first weekend without them since 2014 and to celebrate, this weekend Sydney is stacked with launch parties, re-opening parties, and celebrations of the removal of the lockout laws.

Patrons can now enter bars after 1:30am and last drinks will be pushed back to 3:30am, instead of 3am.The strict laws will be scrapped for venues across the CBD, including Oxford Street, but will remain in place in Kings Cross. Bottle shop closing hours across New South Wales have also been extended until midnight from Monday to Saturday with an 11pm closing time on Sunday.
