Tomorrowland Surprise guest speculation

Ever since they announced the Tomorrowland lineup in full, the rumour mill has been working overtime about who could fill the vacant time slot on Sunday night of each weekend. There is an Easter Egg on the Tomorrowland website on the Lineup page where if you press … fireworks go off.

Could this be as simple as SHM or could this be to throw us off the scent ? 3 Are Legends

3 Are Legends is made up of DV&LM and Steve Aoki. They have played Tomorrowland several times and are also playing Untold this year. Collectively, they spend more time on top of or in front of the decks than they play. However, when you see any of these guys, you are seeing more of a show/their antics rather than watching them play. While these guys are a strong possibility of closing as DV&LM get whatever they what form Tomorrowland, their horrible vinyl set at the end of Tomorrowland 2016 reflects that. I think this would not be the best move by Tomorrowland as i think the overall feeling would be one of being let down.

3 #1 Djs

This one is out of left field and I would LOVE IT if it was true. 3#1 Djs is a concept ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) announced for this year's event. They are getting three of the number 1 Djs from years past to all go back 2 back for a set. The trailer video has Garrix, Armin, Tiësto, DV&LM and Hardwell, who of the aforementioned acts will in fact play I have no idea. What I know is that it will be HUGE and if Tomorrowland could do something like this, I think it would be special.

Swedish House Mafia SHM has to be leading the charge in this race. There has been rumors on the radio and now … on the lineup screen all points to SHM. I would love to say that I am excited about the idea of seeing them but I am far from it. After the neuromas negative show reviews, show cancellations and the complete lack of any new music has left me feeling very underwhelmed by there return. It is starting to feel like it was rushed and maybe we did not need SHM to come back at all.

Hardwell

You can not have this conversation without throwing Hardwell in the mix. Yes, he is retired, but he put no set amount of time on his absence from touring, his “This is Hardwell” story on Insta seems to be coming to an end which could all finish with him walking out on the Mainstage at Tomorrowland. There has also been several interviews and recordings of Robert saying that he will in fact return for the 2019 edition.

All that being said we could see something completely different that none of us are expecting. I genuinely hope that is what they do, maybe a set through the ages with several different headliners from over the years.
