We have another new twist in the fight for a new home for Ultra. However, in what seems to be a surprising turn of events downtown Miami is back on the cards. To give you the short answer as to why Downtown is a possibility, its CASH!!
According to Key Biscayne News, “There [were] so many attendees, the meeting (which took place today) has moved from a conference room to the main city hall chambers. News reported live from the city council meeting.
Miami City Manager Emilio Gonzalez wishes to bring Ultra back, remarking that it was a big economic event for the city. Virginia Key is off the table, but getting the festival back downtown should be on the agenda at the next meeting on June 27th. The meeting ended with some tension between commissioners, but the future looks promising for Ultra Music Festival.
