Tomorrowland announced its 15th-anniversary stage line up today and while it is missing a few big hitters such as Revealed, Super You and Me and Spinnin there is lots to talk about.
If you have not been to Tomorrowland before there are 16 stages. Each stage has its own name Garden of Madness, Freedom, Rose Garden and the list goes on. Each one of these 16 stages is hosted each day by a different Label or Artist for that day. That's around 192 Artists playing over the 3 days.
Each stage host gives us some insight as to who is going to be playing. I am going to be sticking to the bigger names for this article and focusing on weekend 1, as that's when I am going.
What a Friday of weekend 1 it is going to be with Eric Prydz debuting his brand new never before seen Holosphere show and hosting a stage under the same name. Eric will no doubt bring Adam Beyer and could we see the likes of Deadmau5 return after the massive success of there B2B set in 2015? He will be taking over the Freedom stage for this iconic set, this will be a full mind, body and soul experience. Anjunabeats is back which means Above and Beyond are back, being one of the most iconic trance acts in the world this stage is always something special. there set on mainstage last year was nothing short of transcendent. They will be bringing the likes of Adam Bayer, Amy Wiles and Grum who are all regulars for this label.
STMPD is back for its 3rd year running and has seemed to have found a home at the Organ of Harmony. STMPD first came to tomorrowland in 2016 when they added the Organ of Harmony. I have no doubt Garrix will be bringing some big names with him. In years past we have seen Brooks, Don Diablo, Steve Angello, YTRAM and of course the man himself Martin Garrix on this stage.
Monstercat is back for all your Trap wants and needs. It always delivers a stacked line up with last year having the 2 top female DJs in the world playing (REZZ and Alison Wonderland). On top of those two megastars, they have the likes of Slander, Jauz and Nightmare.
Saturday we have Lost Frequencies and friends back for another year for all your House needs. He has hosted 2 Many DJs, EDX, Armand Van Helden, Australia's own Throttle and of course all being closed off be Lost Frequencies. With the absence of many house stages compared to years gone by, you can bet this stage will have a stacked line up.
Q Dance is back in 2019 in a BIG way as they have a stage for ALL 3 DAYS!! I don't know if this has been done before by any other host. This will surely bring out every Hardstyle act on planet earth. With fan favourites of Headhunterz, Wildstylez and Atomzfears being as regulars this is going to be epic for hardstyle fans. Add to that the hype of the amazing set by Coone last year, this stage is going to be packed!!
Sunday we have Smash the House taking over Freedom stage once again. Over the years they have delivered MASSIVE lineups including REHAB, KASHR, W&W, Nicky Romero, Ummet Ozcan, Quintino and DVBBS. Nervo Nation is also tied in with Smash The House delivering some of the for mention acts and more such as Chuckie and Throttle.
Martin Solveig and friends will be delivering all things house with guests like Jax Jones, Kungs and our very own Hook and Sling. This is always an amazing stage with an incredible vibe.
This being Tomorrowland 15th Birthday I am sure they have some surprises up their sleeve. I would think that Swedish House would have to be making an appearance as well as the return of Hardwell if for nothing more than 1 show.
Only time will tell. In the meantime check out some of the stages below.
